Guadalajara

The foundation of this city was in 1542 in the Atemajac Valley, after three unsuccessful previous tryings of settlement in surrounding places. The aproximate population of this city was first of 300 people (guadalajara.gob.mx/historia-de-guadalajara).

It is now considered the third most important city of Mexico because of its size and economic activity.

Cathedral

The Cathedral was built in the XVII century, but the towers were rebuilt in the mid XIX century, after being destroyed by an earthquake.

Degollado Theater

This building was finished in 1866 and it's one of the most important theaters in this city.
